SOLVE - Pier park pick-up

Sponsored by Friends of Pier Park and SOLVE since 2007, the annual Pier Park Pick-Up keeps this North Portland park beautiful. Neighbors and local businesses come together each year to remove invasive plants, pick up litter, plant new native plants, and spread mulch in the native beds throughout Pier Park.

Wear comfortable shoes that can handle mud and dirt and bring work gloves. Much of the work is on flat terrain, but some of it will be on slopes.

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up at https://volunteer.solveoregon.org/ ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at the maintenance shack at hole 1 of the disc golf course, N Bruce Ave and N James St

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Shovels to dig blackberries and ivy, pruners to cut invasive plants, wheelbarrows and rakes for spreading mulch, etc. Garbage bags for picking up litter will also be provided. Coffee and donuts are provided courtesy of Waterlink Web.

Restrooms: A restroom in the style of the Portland Lou is available.

Parking: Street parking is available along Bruce Ave and James St.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Participant Age Guidelines: Volunteers 13 and under must be accompanied by an authorized adult.
